At the age of 11, Nana won the first place in cello solo performance and chamber ensemble with her string quartet in the Grand Taiwan National Music Competition. In the following year, Nana, being 12 years old, got accepted into the world-famous Curtis Institute of Music. From 2013, Nana started pursuing her music study at Curtis Institute of Music. Majoring in cello performance, Nana studies with Peter Wiley and Carter Brey. In the summer of 2013, Nana, at the age of 13, held a series of concert tour with 6 performances in cities throughout Taiwan, which created a new record as being the best selling box-office with full audiences and superb reputation. At 14 years of age, held 4 concerts across Taiwan and sold out thousands of seats within few minutes. Invited by Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa in Japan and performed on the last day of 2014.

Nana Ou-Yang has become the youngest cellist ever to perform solo recital in the Nation Music Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. With such remarkable achievement at such young age, Nana was acknowledged as the brightest future star in classical music by the mass media not only in Taiwan but also in countries in Asia such as China and Japan. Determined to become a cellist since 8 years old, Nana Ou-Yang embraces her life to play music in order to deliver love. Hoping that her music can bring happiness and joy to people is Nana’s goal to strive toward of life!
